Safe at the Guest House

Good Evening! The full team was at the airport by 3:45am!  We successfully checked in 25 bags of supplies for our ministry to bring to the Haitians.  Each of us only carried our own bags on our backs.  Our first flight went off without a hitch.  We arrived in Miami and had a great lunch as a team.  Our next flight was slightly delayed, however, the pilot was able to make up time and we arrived in Haiti only 10 minutes late, to a new and improved airport.  We successfully gathered all 25 of our pieces of checked luggage and off we went into the Tap Tap.  Imagine this, 25 pieces of luggage, 16 carry-ons, 16 personal bags, and 16 of us in the back of the Tap Tap that has a capacity of approximately 16.  Needless to say, we were a little cozy, but it was a short ride to the Guest House.  Upon our arrival, dinner was prepared, a fabulous taco salad dinner!

The lord brought us all together for one reason or another, to embark upon this journey as a team.  After dinner and relaxing, we met to talk about the "word of the day".  Here is what we came up with today:
- Holly:  Waiting
- Steve: Anticipation
- Phil: Energized
- Carla: Ready
- Kalie: Restless
- Heidi: Chill
- Megan: Trust
- Becci: Smooth
- Deb: Rough
- Cheryl: Provision
- Jeff: Impatient
- Kelsi: Real
- Mike: Peace
- Nikki: Relief
- Cathy: Content
- Joy: Respectful

We are all excited and ready to serve God by serving water to those that need it most at Cite Soliel tomorrow.

This is the picture of the sunrise this morning!  What a beautiful site.

May we all get some well rested sleep tonight and be energized and ready for all of the new challenges that tomorrow will bring!  Thank you for all of your prayers for a safe journey.
